Planning a sailing adventure – especially one that crosses an ocean - takes time, expertise and know-how to get a boat and crew safe and ready. To help boat owners and skippers with this challenge, we’ve launched a service to guide, mentor and train those who aspire to bluewater cruising and adventure sailing.

From how to buy a suitable boat for an ocean crossing, through to kitting it out with the right equipment, sails and dinghy.  We can assess and advise on safety at sea, maintenance, weather planning, communications, provisioning and round-the-world route planning.  We also offer training in how to handle offshore passages and can even be onboard to help with the first night watch or long passage, which can be daunting for many. Our liveaboard experience, which spans eight years, speaks for itself. But while we’re talking about credentials, Fergus is a qualified MCA marine engineer and an RYA-accredited instructor and Ocean Yachtmaster.
